Port Blair, Jan 28: Indian Coast Guard Region (A&N) is conducting various welfare activities/events across the Isles for the benefit of local populace to commemorate its 44th Raising Day. As a part of this series, Indian Coast Guard organized a Blood donation camp in coordination with GB Pant Hospital at Coast Guard Sports Complex, Panipat Road, Haddo on 27 Jan 2020. Coast Guard Officers, Personnel, ladies and civilians donated blood for a noble cause. A total of 71 units of blood were collected during the Camp. An encouraging aspect of the camp was the sizable participation in blood donation by ladies. Donation of blood is truly a “donation of life” and officials of GB Pant Hospital appreciated Coast Guard personnel for the selfless act.
