Car Nicobar, Jan 13: The residents of Car Nicobar are ‘gnashing their teeth’ over anger against State Bank of India’s careless attitude. As per reports, since last 08 days the residents are forced to stand in long queue just for withdrawing their cash and non operational Automated Teller Machine (ATM_) is the reason behind this.
“We thought it’s a matter of one or two days and hence, we obeyed the SBI authorities and took the required cash through cheque withdrawal as told by the staffs, it is now 08 days, one has to spend 30-40 minutes in the queue to withdraw money,” said a resident of Car Nicobar.
Talking to Andaman Sheekha, a government servant, one the condition of anonymity said that it would be great help if the SBI authorities put some efforts in making the ATM operational instead of requesting customers to withdraw money through cheques, “why should one waste his or her time,” the government servant added.
