Port Blair, Dec 30: 134th Foundation day of Indian National Congress was observed at Gandhi Bhavan on 28th December, 2019 befittingly. The Party’s Flag was jointly hoisted by Shri RV Reddy, Member AICC and Chief Organiser, Seva Dal Shri Noor Islam. After the flag hoisting ceremony at 10.00 AM which was attended by all the office bearers of Pradesh Congress Committee viz AICC member, District Congress Committee, Block Congress Committee, City Congress and frontal organizations viz Youth Congress, Mahila Congress, Seva Dal, NSUI, INTUC, all cells and general public.
Shri Reddy said that the history of Congress is a unique saga, first of the Country’s freedom movement and thereafter of building up a new India ,while speaking on the present political scenario Shri Noor Islam has detailed the anti people policies of the Bharatiya Janata Pary which has resulted in massive unemployment, economic slowdown, unprecedented price rise and atrocities against women. He has further stated that the divisive policies of the BJP Government like Citizen Amendment
Act aimed at diverting the attention from the burning issues of common people and brutal police crackdown on protesting students and citizens in maximum parts of India Viz, Uttar Pradesh, Kerala, Maharashtra, West Bengal, Assam, Delhi etc. He has requested all to be united and fight against the anti people policies and be a part of “Save India –save Constitution”.
