Port Blair, Dec 17: Mr. Kuldeep Rai Sharma, Member of Parliament, during the debate of “Matters of urgent public importance” in the Parliament dated 11th December, 2019 has brought to the notice of the Home Minister that Andaman and Nicobar Administration vide its order 4197 dated 3rd September, 2019 stated that no commercial route permit will be issued to those who don’t possess land in their names for parking.
Mr. Sharma has stated that about 800 unemployed youths have purchased Car, Tata Sumo, Scorpio, and other commercial vehicles etc for commercial use either by selling their property or taking loan from the Banks by keeping the jewelleries of their family members mortgaged are stranded with this order.
The Member of Parliament requested the Home Minister to intervene in the matter and allow necessary permit to those 800 poor youths who have applied for commercial route permit so that they can earn their bread and butter by operating their vehicles in tourism sector.
