Port Blair, Sep 03: The President, UNNATI Mr. C. Mohammed has requested the Chairman WAQF Board to take steps to prevent damage of graves by stray cattle.
In a letter addressed to the chairman WAQF board Mr Mohammed said that he had witnessed that cattle were freely grazing in graveyard.
“Free movement of cattle in graveyard causes serious damages to graves. Therefore, fencing and construction of compound wall is necessary. The fund for fencing/ compound wall can be made available from MPLADS. Fund can also be raised by the community for which special drive may kindly be considered,” Mr. C Mr. C. Mohammed in his letter.
