Campbell Bay, Nov 22: The Up-Adhyaksha, South Andaman Zilla Parishad, Mr Gagandeep Singh Grewal has penned the Regional Manager, Syndicate Bank, Andaman and Nicobar Islands and requested him to increase the strength of staff at Campbell Bay Branch, Great Nicobar Island.
In a letter addressed to the Regional Manager, Syndicate Bank, Mr Gagandeep Singh Grewal stated that due to lack of staff in the Campbell Bay Branch, the residents who are coming from far flung areas had to wait from morning till the evening just to deposit or withdraw their cash, due to the long queue.
“Functioning of only one counter in the Campbell Bay branch to deposit and withdraw cash is the major reason behind this,” Mr Gagandeep stated.
Mr Gagandeep, hence, requested the Regional Manager, Syndicate Bank to take a call on this issue and depute sufficient staffs in the Campbell Bay branch to ease the burden on the customers.
He also requested to provide 02 counters for depositing and withdrawing cash, so that the problem completely vanishes for the residents.
