Port Blair, Aug 02: To increase the efficiency of agriculture operations and to enhance the preparatory cultivation and other farm operation, the Department of Agriculture under Rashtriya Krishi Vikas Yojana (RK VY) and National Horticulture Mission (NHM) will be giving Loan/Cash-cum-subsidy on purchase of farm machineries. Under this project 40% of the cost limited to Rs. 45,000/- for RKVY and 50% of the cost limited to Rs. 35,000/-, whichever is less is provided as subsidy.
Individual farmers, Gram panchayats, Registered Societies and Primary Agriculture Co-operative Societies (PACS) may avail the benefits provided by the Agriculture Department under RKVY. They may contact their respective Zonal Officer or the Assistant Director (AE) (FM) at Directorate of Agriculture for further details.
