Port Blair, Nov 19: Three racing cycles were reportedly stolen from the safe-room of Port Blair’s Velodrome yesterday. This was shocking that one of the cycles belong to India’s one of the top cyclists, Ms Deborah Herold. After a complaint was registered in PS Aberdeen by the coach and other officials, a team of PS Aberdeen immediately swung into action and picked up three kids and recovered the racing cycles from them. Two cycles were hidden in bushes by the kids while the cycle of International champion Ms Deborah Herold was taken away by one kid to his home.
The team of PS Aberdeen consisting of SI Jeevan, HC Sunil Singh Yadav, PC Suresh, PC Vinod and PC Neelkant under the supervision of SHO PS Aberdeen Mr. Sanjay Kumar traced out the cycles within eight hours.
