On the auspicious occasion of Deepawali, I extend my warm greetings to the people of Andaman and Nicobar Islands wishing them prosperity and happiness. Deepawali popularly known as the festival of light symbolizes the victory of good over evil and uplifting of spiritual darkness. The story behind the Deepawali varies from region to region but the essence is the same– to rejoice in the inner light.
