Port Blair, Aug 30: Around 375 NCC cadets including girls fired 4000 rounds on targets during the Firing Training session at INS Jarawa firing range, which was facilitated by the Commanding Officer of INS Jarawa, Capt. Sanjay Kumar. The newly joined NCC cadets had a wonderful experience of handling the weapons and firing on targets with live rounds braving the rains. Among the girls, Priyanka Khatoon, Sr. Cadet Captain of SW Naval NCC JNRM, Port Blair was adjudged as the best female shooter. Among SD cadets, Benedic of Govt. Model Sr. Sec School Mayabunder bagged best SD shooter and among the JD cadets, Sidharht Ratnam of Naval Children School won the best JD shooter. ANO’s, Sub Lt. Dr. Satyam Setia and 2nd Officer K. Ravi were the safety officers at range. The firing was coordinated by Petty Officer Krishnan and Kalicharan. A communication received from the Commanding Officer said.
