Port Blair, September 22: Finally the long wait ends to watch the wild landscapes of Andaman Nicobar Islands in the popular wildlife channel, Animal Planet. The series titled ‘Heroes of the Wild Frontier’ will showcase the Andamans, Mahatma Gandhi Marine National Park tomorrow at 09:00 PM with episode titled ‘The fragile Islands- Andaman’.
The hardships and the efforts made by the Forest Guards, Rangers of the Forest Department, Andaman & Nicobar Islands to protect the nature and the wildlife will be showcased during the episode.
Andaman’s Episode will feature Deputy Ranger, Manjit Singh as well as Ranger, Mohammed Hussain. In the episode, Deputy Ranger Manjit Singh, who is also known as the snake man of these Islands, will be seen rescuing Crocodiles.
Ranger Mohammed Hussain, will be seen with his team displaying their routine while on the task of protecting marine biodiversity in the India’s first Marine Reserve Diving Centre at Mahatma Gandhi Marine National Park.
This show will not only educate the people but will also a work to brand Andaman & Nicobar Islands in the worldwide platform.
The actual shooting of the episode was done in the month of November last year. The crews of the shooting unit were trained for scuba diving by the forest dive centre following which the shooting happened undersea. The entire series has been Directed, Narrated and Written by the award-winning filmmaker Krishnendu Bose.
