Port Blair, Sept 22: Officers from the 75th Staff Course at the Defence Services Staff College (DSSC), one of the premier inter-services training institutions at Wellington, Tamil Nadu visited Andaman and Nicobar Command (ANC) from 14th September to 21st September 2019. DSSC is one of the few institutions of its type in the world where training in Command and staff duties is imparted over a period of 45 weeks to selected middle level officers of all the Indian Armed Forces and friendly foreign countries, as well as to selected officers of paramilitary and civil services. During the visit, the Course officers were familiarised with the unique aspects of Andaman and Nicobar Islands and ongoing infrastructure development, so that future military leadership remains sensitive to security, development and environmental concerns. In order to familiarise the student officers with development, ecology and environmental imperatives, visits were also organised to Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose Dweep, Swaraj Dweep, Car Nicobar and Cellular Jail.
