Port Blair, Sept 13: The team of PS Pahargaon has once again exhibited excellent commitment towards their duties by tracking down a missing lady and her one year old daughter within 15 days through call records and IMEI tracking.
Nearly two weeks back a complaint was registered at PS Pahargaon that a lady namely Ms. Karuna (name changed) resident of Mecca Pahar and her one year daughter went missing on 23/8/19 and was last seen taking an auto from Junglighat. Upon this, a case registered at PS Pahargaon as the child was minor and the investigation was entrusted to SI Shubham Ghosh of PS Pahargaon.
Acting on inputs from informers that the lady with her child was seen near the airport, the CCTV footage from airport was obtained and it was revealed that the lady and her child boarded the Spice Jet flight on 23/8/19 at 1530 hrs. Thereafter the phone call records of the lady and her IMEI record was obtained from her mobile subscriber and the current phone number and location of the lady was tracked.
Thereafter, the lady was called over phone and counseling over phone was done by SHO PS Pahargaon Insp Vishal Ram and SI Shubham Ghosh. The lady was taken into confidence by the police team brought to Port Blair on 8/9/19. The statement of the lady was recorded in PS Pahargaon on which she stated that she went Chennai along with her child due to some family problems. Later, the lady and her child was given counselling by SI Mariam of Women Help Desk of PS Pahargaon and SHO PS Pahargaon and was handed over the family of the lady.
The entire operation was conducted under the supervision of Insp. Vishal Ram, SHO Pahargaon under the guidance of Sandhya Swamy, ASP (SA) under direct supervision of Mr. Manoj.C, SP (District).
