Port Blair, Aug 25: A special Gram Sabha was organized for Jal Shakti Abhiyan held at Panchayat Bhawan Mithakhari on 24/08/2019 were Pradhan Shri. Mohd. Safiq welcomed that gathering and welcomed Shri. Sanjib Kr. Mandal Adhyaksh Zilla Parishad South Andaman for honoring the Gram Sabha and thanked the villagers for attending the Sabha. A total No. of 106 participants were participated including staffs from Forest, Electricity, Agriculture and APWD participated on the Special Gram Sabha. Ranger Shri. Jainal Abdin spoke about the benefits of afforestation and Shri. Azmat Qadir, SCFA from Agriculture dept. spoke about conservation of water by various schemes of Agriculture. Panchayat Secretary Smti. Shaiba Mohammed gave details of newly launched scheme of PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana and requested farmers to enroll to avail benefits of the scheme. Adhyaksh Shri. Sanjib Kr. Mandal and Pradhan Shri. Mohd. Safiq spoke on conservation of water and Jal Shakti Abhiyan. The Special Gram Sabha was ended with the vote of thanks by Smti. Francisca Ekka Up-Pradhan Gram Panchayat Mithakhari.
