Port Blair, August 23: Mahila Shakti Kendra, with the motive to provide one-stop convergent support service for empowering rural women with opportunities for skill development, employment, digital literacy, health and nutrition, will be organizing an event for celebrating woman empowerment on Aug 31, 2019, at the JNRM Auditorium. The event will be providing a platform for the local and inter-Island rural women to display and sell their handmade products.
The interested woman folk who are from Port Blair can come and register themselves for participation at the Mahila Shakti Kendra Office at the Directorate of Social Welfare, Goal Ghar and the women from the other Islands can give their names to their respective Mukhya Sevikas or the CDPOs or can contact the Training Officer (MSK) on 7063970389 respectively.
The participants have been requested to register by 4 pm on Aug 27, 2019, so that logistic arrangements for transport, stay, food etc. could be made for the inter-Island participants.
Only handmade products (handicrafts, organic oil, bakery items etc.) made by the women themselves will be allowed to be displayed.
