Port Blair, Aug 22: Seven more employees of MGNREGA, who were staging indefinite Hunger Strike at Tiranga Park were taken to G B Pant Hospital tonight by Doctors and Police staffs as per Doctor’s advice.
However, protesting youths complained that they had no major complaints related to health. Many other alleged that youths, who were taken to G B Pant tonight got normal health report at the Hospital. Meanwhile the employees of MGNREGA told Andaman Sheekha that the indefinite Hunger Strike will continue till they get justice. The employees are demanding enhancement of their wages which has not been increased since June, 2012. The employees who were taken to G B Pant today were Sujata, 22 years, Gokuli, 23 years, Shree Kanth, 39 years, Vandana Sahu, 27 years, Sangeeta Kindo, 28 years, Balakrishna, 40 years and Sachindaran, 40 years.
