Port Blair, August 11: In order to have a conducive working environment for the employees of the Port Blair Municipal Council it was decided to hold an interactive meeting on alternate Saturdays of every month as “Employees Grievance Redressal Day”. The first meeting was held on 10/08/2019 at 10.00 am in the Conference hall of PBMC. The Chairperson and the Secretary, PBMC were present along with PBMC and Banking Officials. The grievances of the Sanitary Mazdoor were taken up. Various issues raised by the staffs and the Mazdoors of Sanitary section was discussed in detail and issues were resolved. About 50 workers were present with their grievances.
The objective behind the above initiative was in day to day life official tend to busy with official work wherein it is difficult for the employees to represent their grievances to the concerned officers. To enhance the morale of the organization the above innovative approach has been started by the PBMC.
