Port Blair, Aug 04: The Bambooflat Police Station yesterday arrested three youths of Tsunami Pahad Area for assaulting two police constables who were in beat duty.
According to details Police Constable Mr. Shyam Sunder Rao and Police Constable Mr. Jaspal Singh were at beat duty at Tsunami Pahad area of Bambooflat when they observed three drunken youths riding a bike and driving the bike very irresponsibly. When questioned by police constables the three youths reportedly hurled abuses on the cops and attacked them.
The cops were later taken to Hospital and after investigation all three accused were arrested by PS Bambooflat. The accused persons were identified as V. Appanna, 21 years, a private worker, Vijay Kumar, 23 yrs and D. Nasir, 19 years.
