Port Blair, July 24: South Andaman Police has registered two cases of Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act 1985 and arrested two persons and made the recovery of 500 gram of illicit Ganja.
On receipt of credible information, the raiding team under the guidance of SHO Pahargaon, Insp. A.K. Singh and comprising ASI R Radha Krishnan, PCs M. Ashok Kumar, Khokan Dutta, Rajesh Prasad and Sunita Devi conducted raids at Garacharma and Bhatubasthi respectively and recovered 500 gram ganja from the possession of accused persons namely Animesh Sarkar @ Chotu Chotu S/o Govinda Sarkar, 21 yrs, R/o Hasmatabad and Santosh Sarkar S/o Madhu Sarkar R/o Phoenix Bay.
These operations took place under the close supervision of Ms Sandhya Swamy, IPS, SDPO (SA) under the overall supervision of Mr Deepak Yadav, IPS, Superintendent of Police, South Andaman District.
