Port Blair, Jun 16: Nehru Yuva Kendra, Rangat in collaboration with Voice of compassion to India (NGO), Rangat organised Block Level Neighbourhood Youth Parliament at Zilla Parisad Auditorium Rangat with the objective to create an institutional platform right up to village level where the youth can articulate their views on various issues and draw the attention of the local administration to such issues/concerns affecting their lives. Altogether 80 youths from different villages participated in the programme. Mr. Anil Bepari, Up Adhyaksh, North & Middle Andaman was the chief guest. One hour session in the morning was devoted on Yoga Training, Lecture on benefit of yoga and demonstration of yoga practices as per Common Yoga Protocol. Various topics viz National Flagship Programme, Skill development, Health and Sanitation, Swatch Bharat Mission etc. were also covered by the resource persons.
Group discussions were also held on local issue and suggestions and ideas as to how to address and solve the discussed issues presented. Earlier Mr. Alphonce Toppo, District Youth Coordinator, NYK, Rangat welcomed the gathering, in a release District Youth Coordinator, NYK, Rangat.
