Port Blair, May 06: A special briefing session about the details of Essay Competition will be held at IGNOU, Regional Centre, Kannada Sangha Building, Near Syndicate Bank, 18 Tagore Road, Mohanpura, Port Blair during 4.30 -5.30 PM on Wednesday, 8th May, 2019. The interested students, teachers and parents are invited for the session on Essay Writing details.
To create awareness about Distance Education among school children, the IGNOU Regional Centre Port Blair is organizing Essay Writing Competition. The topic of the competition is “Distance Education Opportunities in Andaman & Nicobar Islands”. The essay can be written either in English or in Hindi Language in handwritten form only. The students of 9th to 12th standard studying in the academic year 2019-20 are eligible to participate in the competition. There is no fee for the competition. One can contact the IGNOU, Regional Centre, Port Blair between Monday to Friday (10 AM to 5 PM) and collect the detailed guidelines from the IGNOU Regional Centre (03192-242888/230111) or by email: rcportblair@ignou.ac.in. Dr. T.R. Satyakeerthy, Assistant Regional Director (Mob No. 9446372105) is the Organizing Secretary to coordinate the essay competition. All the students will get Participation Certificate and Medals will be given for top three ranks in Hindi and English. The 1200 to 1500 words handwritten essay must reach the Regional Centre on or before 15th July, 2019 through school Principal. Sufficient time is given to the school students to prepare high quality essays during May-June summer vacation at home.
