Port Blair, Aug 13: The DMK today said that it would boycott the evening reception, hoisted by Lt. Governor on Independence Day. Talking to Andaman Sheekha, Mr. Raja Marudhvanan, the Organiser, DMK Youth Wing today said that due to various reason the party is bound to take this decision.
“Its been a year since the Custodial Death of Late.P.Palswamy and till date the Judicial Enquiry initiated by the Administration has not submitted its report. The Administration has failed miserable in the field of Electricity, Water Supply and Employment opportunities. The economy of the A & N Islands has been in shambles due to the non functioning of Quarries and the Construction Industries. The A & N Islands Administration has not lived up to the expectations of the general public and has been careless towards the miseries of the general public. Citing all these reasons the State Committee of the DMK, A & N Islands has decided to boycott the evening reception hosted by the Lt. Governor on the 15th August 2012 in the premises of Raj Niwas,” Mr. Raja Marudhvanan said.
