Port Blair, May 02: A girl of Pathargudda jumped off a building, situated close to Bhatubasti Junction, after reportedly failing in Class XII exams. Father of the girl was reportedly running a printing press at the ground floor of the same building.
As per reports the girl fell directly on a car parked near the building, because of which she survived the fall, with some injuries.
Sources said that before committing suicide the girl had reportedly called her sister and informed that she is going to end her life, after which her family members and police were searching her. Meanwhile, the girl somehow reached on the top of the building after switching off her mobile and jumped off the building.
After the accident the girl was immediately rushed to G B Pant Hospital, where she was admitted for treatment.
