Port Blair, Apr 29: A youth of Uttar Pradesh died after accidently falling from a scaffolding, raised inside the Airport Terminal Building, yesterday.
According to reports the youth, Sandeep Gupta, 20 years, was painting the AC ducting area, when this accident took place.
Sources said that the accident took place at around 10.20 PM last night and the youth fell on the flood like rock, sustaining serious head injuries. Later he succumbed to his injuries at around mid night.
Meanwhile, after investigation the Andaman and Nicobar Police registered a case in this regard against the supervisor for not following safety norms, failing to make employees to work with safety gears. The supervisor has also been arrested it is learnt. The victim actually hailed from UP but as working here as labourer.
