Port Blair, Apr 26: A youth of these Islands, Mr. Angu, a resident of Ograbraj has been reportedly murdered at Malaysia while his family members at Port Blair are struggling to get clear details about this case and also the body of the deceased.
According to reports Mr. Vishal Jolly the President of BJP A& N State unit has written a letter to the Minister of External Affairs, Mrs. Sushma Swaraj requesting her to intervene into this matter.
Talking to Andaman Sheekha the family members of Mr. Angu today said that in search of job Mr. P Angu, 33 years, s/o Mr. Balu had applied for VISA to work in a company at Malaysia as Mali with proper documentation through a Chennai based agent, Mr. Khaja Moideen.
However, the job role of Mali was not given to him therefore he was forced to look for some other job at Malaysia. Later he was engaged by a canteen owner namely, Mr. Hapes Pas, a resident of Nilai, Malaysia.
On 14th March 2019 at 8.00 PM Mr. Angu called his sister namely, Mrs. Angaleswari, how is living in Andaman,and had casual discussions. After passing a day without call, the sister of Mr. Angu called up the canteen owner, Mr. Hapes Pas, who conveyed that Mr. Angu has taken salary of 14 March and gone outside to tour and also said that his passport, cloths and other belongings are in canteen only.
The family members of Mr. Angu regularly called Mr. Hapes for his whereabouts but they did not get any positive response.
Later, the sister of Mr. Angu received a call from Inspector Guna Serembam of Malaysia Police on 25 April at 1300 hrs, who told her that the canteen owner has been arrested in some case.
The same inspector called her again at 8.00 PM and told her that Mr. Angu has been murdered and in this case around 7 to 8 people have been arrested.
The family is not having any other information about Mr. Angu and hence the family is now meeting all possible people in Andaman to get some help in this regard.
Mr. Jolly has requested the Minister to intervene into this matter so that the body can be brought back to Port Blair. He also requested the Minister to conduct inquiry into the matter of the death of Mr. Angu and give justice to the bereaved family .
