Port Blair, Apr 23: Ganja and Contraband Tablets have emerged as the new threat to Andaman Society and it seems that youths are involved in addiction of Ganja and Contraband Tablets much more that it was earlier thought. The drug mafia networks have penetrated inside Andaman Society so deeply that it has become a major challenge for Andaman and Nicobar Police.
Experts and prominent citizens suggest that the Police Department and Administration must announce Award and Honour for those who will be able to give crucial tip off to police about drug suppliers, drug deals and drug consignments.
“If this is done, more and more youths, who usually witness such deals among friends in and around education institutions, will come up in open and share valuable information to police. If informer wants to remain anonymous give them cash reward, if not honour them in public and also give then cash reward,” suggest a prominent citizen.
This is a crucial time for Andaman and if nothing is done now to end Ganja and Contraband Tablets racket then the next generation of Andaman will deeply suffer.
