Port Blair, Apr 03: The Andaman & Nicobar Tourism Stakeholders Association organised its third members meet at the conference hall of Hotel Aparupa in which new members joined the association. The president of ATSA Mr. Vivek Singh, vice president Md. Shahnawaz, general secretary Mr. C Raja and other designated members present during the meeting.
A joint polling of members was conducted in order to choose other designated members of the Association from different tourism sectors like boat operators, ticketing, hoteliers etc.
In the meet different agendas were discussed, which were supposed to be followed up by the members like taking up suggestions from the members and implementing after a proper discussion as soon as possible.
Some of the issues raised in the meet by the members were about the stoppage of online booking by the guests and Advance booking of tickets for Jolly Buoy, Ross and North Bay Islands.
The objective of the association is to safeguard the interest of the local tourism stake holders as tourism is the only major sector present in these Islands.
On this occasion all the achievements of the association were discussed in the meet and also the major objectives which were needed to be focused on by the association in the future. Special mementos were also presented to the newly joined members.
