Diglipur, Apr 03: Yet again huge amount of cash has been seized by Diglipur police unit. Earlier the same police unit had seized nearly Rs. 3 lakhs unjustified cash from various persons.
As per sources today in four different raids the police team of Diglipur seized nearly Rs. 4,90,000 cash from various areas of Diglipur.
During (MCC) Model Code of Conduct, it is prohibited to carry cash amount of more than Rs. 50,000.
The entire operation was commanded by Inspector Sahil Shamsuddin, SHO PS Diglipur under the close supervision of Mr. Sukanth S Ballabh, Sub-Divisional Police Officer, it is learnt. SI V K Maurya and SI Debrata Reha were played active role in the team with other Jawans, it is learnt.
Use of cash during election and election rallies is not a new thing but this time due to prompt action of Andaman and Nicobar police many such cases are coming into light.
