Port Blair, Mar 24: Mr. Bishnu Pada Ray, who was spotted at Chouldari Sunday Market with his supporters this morning, campaigning for himself as an Independent candidate for 2019 LS Elections, reportedly dropped his plans by evening. As per sources after getting call from senior leaders from Party, he took this decision.
However sources said some supporters, who were happy when Mr. Ray had declared that he would contest the election independently, got disappointed today.
Meanwhile, it is learnt that Mrs. Minoti Biswas will continue and will not take back her nomination. Highly placed sources told Andaman Sheekha that some efforts from the side of BJP to convince Minoti Biswas have already failed. However some senior leaders of BJP A & N State unit are confident to convince her right on time.
