Port Blair, Feb 26: The Institute Joint Staff Council members along with staff of CIARI, Port Blair are on pen down and tools down strike from 23rd February 2019, to press their long pending demands.
The genuine demands of IJSC members along with staff of CIARI, Port Blair are Payment of bonus for last four years, Cadre review of Administrative staff, a report of which was submitted in 2017, Removing anomalies in Technical Services rules & Implementation of recommendations of Dr. Alagusundaram Committee, Unification of Cadre review in all categories, Immediate regularization of all TSM/TSCL personnel by granting one time relaxation, Cadre review of Skilled supporting staff with increase in promotional avenues, Implementation of 5 days a week working in ICAR as per the recommendations of the 5th CPC.
While talking to Andaman Sheekha, Mr. S. P. Narayan Secretary, IGSE said that the strike will continue till the demands are fulfilled.
The secretary and all the members of the IGSE demanded that all their demands should be met and all the opportunities for the employees of the CIARI should be on equal basis as compared to the employees of the same institution across the nation.
Meanwhile, APP, A & N Islands has requested Director General, Indian Council Agricultural Research, Port Blair, Andaman & Nicobar Islands to fulfill the genuine demands of IJSC members along with staff of CIARI, Port Blair as they are on pen down and tools down strike.
In a letter address to the Director General, Indian Council Agricultural Research, Port Blair, Andaman & Nicobar Islands Mr. Sanjay Meshack, the Lok Sabha candidate of AAP,A&N Islands urged the Director General, Indian Council Agricultural Research Port Blair to fulfill their demands as soon as possible as they are serving the farmers & contributing in overall progress of the country & also helping the farmer for doubling their income time bond manner.
