Port Blair, Feb 13: In a simple function here today held at Bathubasthi, Ward No. 24, Smti Anusia Devi, Chairperson, Port Blair Municipal Council inaugurated extension of Municipal Complex Building in presence of Mr. N.K.Udhaya Kumar, Councillor, Ward No:24.Smti S. Selvi, Mr.Dharmendra Narayan, Councillors and Officers, workers of PBMC and area populace were also present on this occasion. At the outset Mr. NK Udhaya Kumar, Councillor welcomed the gathering and appraised that this project was a long pending demand as there is a lack PBMC offices in the extended ward. He further reiterated that on completion of this project the populace of this area can approach the PBMC officials and their councilors for their day to day work or any amenities which are lacking in the area.
Speaking on the occasion Smti Anusia Devi, Chairperson, PBMC expressed her gratitude towards the Secretary, PBMC and Engineering wing to complete the projects. As the area masses were facing tribulations to extant their complaints and other routine works with civic bodies, they have to move all the way to PBMC, Head Quarters. After accomplishing this project the masses of extended area can resolve their problems. PBMC is making all out efforts to provide the basic amenities to its citizens. Council has embarked upon various new projects such as construction of roads, Water ATMs, Open Gym, Parks, toilets, implementing PM Aawas Yojna for the benefits of the citizens.
