Port Blair, Feb 05: Ensuing the General Election, 2019, an Election Express Van was flagged off by Mr. Udit Prakash Rai, IAS, Returning Officer, Andaman & Nicobar Islands Parliamentary Constituency/Deputy Commissioner (SA) on 29.01.2019. The Election Express Van will create an awareness of election and shall cover entire South Andaman District from 29.01.2019 with a slogan “No Voters To Be Left Behind”.
During the schedule of the Election Express Van, voter awareness regarding election will be delivered to the general public, EVM machine along with VVPAT will be displayed in the Election Express Van and hands-on experience will be given to general public. And at will show case a short movies and audio songs regarding election.
Further, the Election Express Van will also provide forms i.e Form 6,6A,7, 8 & 8A regarding various needs of eligible voters.
The Election Express Van will be stationed at Brichgunj and Austinabad area dated on 06.02.2019. The general public are requested to take part in this campaign/awareness programme, says Nodal Officer (SVEEP)
