Port Blair, Feb 05: PS CCS keeping its commitment of zero tolerance against Narcotic activities, acted promptly on a secret information by forming separate teams and conducted raid on 1st, 2nd and 3rd of February at different location. A trap was laid on all these four locations.
In the first instance one team seized about 470 grms of Ganja from the possession of Bappy Shil S/o Late Gopal Shil resident of New Pahargaon. Continuing the raid on second instance, another team seized around 3.740 kgs. ganja from the possession of Noor Hai Mulla S/o Late Noor Ali resident of Aberdeen bazaar near Jama Masjid and in the third instance, two search operation were conducted by yet another team of CCS and two seizure were effected from Sentu singha S/o Shri Shanti Ranjan Singha resident of Bhatubasti and Barun Sarkar S/o Late Amulya Sarkar resident of Bhatu Basti near vegetable, market of 250 grms ganja each.
Apart from the above, raids were conducted at different locations by PS CCS team and seized about 29 bottles of IMFL from R. Balamurugan, s/o Shri. Ramaswamy, R/o School Line, Ranchi Basti., S. Alagumandhiram, S/o Shri. Senthivel, R/o Nayagaon and Smit. Jothika Lal, W/o Late Jeevan Lal, R/o Hawaghar Junction.
The accused were booked under relevant section of NDPS Act, 1985 and A & N Excise Regulation, 1876
The successful raids were conducted by the team of PS Central Crime Station comprising of SI Abdul Nazir, SI T. Dilla Rao, SI V. Siva Kumar, SI M. Abdul Rasheed, ASI Surya Narayan, HCs Sanjay, KJ Raffi, Aswani, K.N. Anandan Constable Samresh, Bimal, S. Baroi, Chandran, HK Yadav, Rajesh, Thangaraj and Indumati headed by Insp. Mahesh Yadav, SHO PS CCS and SI Mohd. Elias under the supervision of Shri. George Lalu, Dy.SP (CID) and under the overall supervision of Shri Manoj. C, IPS, SP (CID).
