Port Blair, Jan 31: A 24 year old man namely Mr. Maharam Sheak, son of Mr. Hajrat Ali, a resident of Corbyn’s Cove area of Port Blair city, died when a tree fell on him on 27 January 2019 at around 4.00 PM.
As per reports, the 24 year old youth was doing some works under the tree, situated inside new campus of Medical College, near Corbyn’s Cove area. Sources said other workers shifted him to G B Pant Hospital in a cargo van but he died on way to the hospital.
Late Maharam Sheak, originally hails from West Bengal and was working here as a private labourer.
Earlier an electrician had died inside the campus, when he fell from the second floor, while doing some works, inside the new building of Medical College.
