Port Blair, Jan 24: The Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad Port Blair Unit celebrated the 122nd birth anniversary of the great freedom fighter and Supreme commander of AZAD Hind fauj- Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose at JNRM Seminar Hall.
On the occasion an inter college quiz competition on the topic “Netaji and Indian Independence Struggle” in which ANIIMS Girls team of Vincky Nagar, Puja Bramha, Namita Chaubey & Simran Kaur won the first prize, ANIIMS Boys and JNRM team secured 2nd and 3rd prizes respectively.
On this occasion the Chief Guest Er. Krishnamurty, Chief Engineer, ALHW felicitated the winners. The chief guest in his address highlighted on the life and contribution of Netaji in the Indian freedom movements. Dr.Kandimuthu, Vibhag Pramukh ABVP and Dr.K Chanderdeep Singh President ABVP Port Blair also spoke on the occasion. The programme concluded with the vote of thanks proposed by ABVP’s Port Blair City secretary Subroto Biswas.
