Port Blair, Jan 13: The President, Pradesh Congress Committee, Mr. Kuldeep Rai Sharma has greeted the people of AN Islands on the occasion of festivals of Lohri, Makar Sankranti and Pongal, which fall on 13th and 15th January respectively. In his message Kuldeep has said, “On the joyous occasion of Lohri, Makar Sankranti and Pongal, I convey my greetings and best of wishes to all the islanders and wish them prosperity, good health and happiness”.
These festivals are celebrations of the joy, happiness and prosperity ushered in by a fresh harvest, Kuldeep added.
May the celebrations reinforce the ties that unite us together with the feelings of brotherhood, peace and harmony. May the harvest herald the beginning of further growth and progress and inspire us to work for the overall development of our Islands and also our Country”, he wished.
