Port Blair, Jan 11: In a recent concluded meeting, the Humphrey Gunj Martyrs Memorial Committee (HMMC) has taken decision to celebrate the solemn function to mark the 75th Martyrdom Anniversary of the 44 Martyrs of the Indian Independence League (IIL), at Balidan Vedi – The State Martyrs Memorial Humphrey Gunj on Wednesday 30th January 2019.
In the meeting it was also decided that this occasion will be celebrated with various Cultural and Social activities, felicitate the surviving members of IIL & INA and a Bike Rally from the National Memorial Cellular Jail to the State Memorial Balidan Vedi. Souvenir related with the occasion will also be released in the later months, a release by Jeivaish Shanker Pandey, General Secretary of HMMC said here today.
