Port Blair, Jan 09: A Super Splender bike, bearing Registration Number AN 01 M 6533 (Black) was reportedly stolen from Bike Parking area of Police Headquarter, Atlanta Point yesterday.
As per report the owner of the bike had gone to Police Head Quarter for submitting his application for the post of Police Constable but after submitting his application when he returned back to the bike parking area of PHQ, he was shocked to see his bike, parked a while ago, has vanished.
Some people at PHQ advised him to file a complaint at PS Aberdeen, where only a missing report has been lodged, it is learnt.
Recently, dozens of such incidents of bike theft have been reported from various parts of the city for which some teenagers have already been arrested but seems that such incidents are continuing. One wonders if even the PHQ area is not safe from such theft cases, then how safe the city roads are.
