Port Blair, Jan.10: The XXI State School Games & 6th State Level Competition for Child With Special Needs (CWSN) was kicked off by Admiral D K Joshi, PVSM, AVSM, YSM, NM, VSM, the Lt. Governor, A&N Islands & Vice-Chairman Islands Development Agency by lighting of torch today morning at Raj Niwas. The torch was then carried by the prominent Sports Persons of these Islands through the city roads to Netaji Stadium via National Memorial Cellular Jail.
Later in the evening, the Lt. Governor declared ‘OPEN’ the Games at Netaji Stadium. Championship Trophy and Technical Bulletin were also released by the Lt. Governor on the occasion. Mr. Chetan B Sanghi, Chief Secretary, Mr. Sanjib Kumar Mondal, Adyaksha Zilla Parishad, South Andaman and other elected representative & senior officers of the Administration were also present on the occasion.
