Port Blair, Jan 07: A 46-year-old pillion rider died and the rider got minor injuries when the moped they were on, was hit by a private truck this morning. The lady namely Mrs. Meena Kumari, D/o Late Papa Rao, R/o Haddo was working in Municipal Office and was on her way to Aberdeen Bazaar from Bengali Club, with her brother, when this accident happened.
According to reports, the accident took place on the opposite side of Hotel Blair. The victim reportedly fell on the right side and came down under the rear tires of the truck and died on spot, further investigations are on.
