Port Blair, Jan 02: In yet another road accident, a moped rider died when his moped was hit a speeding bike coming from the opposite direction. According to reports the moped rider, identified as Mr. Sudhir Roy, 53 years, was hit by a bike, driven by a student of Polytechnic near Joda Kilan, Sippighat.
As per details, the bike rider was coming from Garacharma side and after overtaking a truck, he could not control his bike and hit the moped, which was coming from opposite direction. Mr. Sudhir Roy, the moped rider died on the way to hospital, it is reported.
The bike rider sustained minor injuries. A case has also been registered against boy in the Pahargaon Police Station in this regard, further details are awaited.
This is high time for A & N Police to install CCTV Cameras in important locations to identify vehicles, involved in rash driving.
