Port Blair, Dec 28: Gram Panchayat, Chouldari, is organizing AZAD HIND MELA from 30th December 2018 to 6th January, 2019 as a mark of celebration of first flag hoisting day of free India by Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose.
The inauguration of the Mela will be at 7.00 AM ON 30th December 2018 with National Flag hoisting by the freedom fighters of Azad Hind Fauj at Vivekananda Ground, Chouldari.
The dependents of the freedom fighters will be felicitated on the occasion of inauguration of the Azad Hind Mela. Cultural programmes and various competitions will be organized on every evening during the whole week.
A volleyball Tournament will be organized by the Panchayat in the name of Azad Hind Trophy and will be awarded to the winner on 6th January. The tournament will commence from 31st December2018 in the same venue.
