Port Blair, Dec 24: The team of Special Branch (CID) consisting ASI Jayachandran, Constables G. Ravi and Surfuddin under the supervision of Inspr. D. Jagdishwar Rao, in its drive to wipe out the nuisance of illegal sale of liquor and bootlegging, carried out raid at Fisheries Jetty, Phonix Bay on 20/12/2018 and recovered 113 bottles of Indian Made Foreign Liquors (IMFL). In this connection one A. Bhoominathan S/o Shri Alagumalai R/o Fisheries jetty was arrested and a case under excise Regulations has been registered against him. The raid was conducted under the over all supervision of Shri R. K. Sharma, Dy. SP (CID). The Police will continue to fight against this menace to eradicate the illegal trade of illicit liquor and IMFL from this Union Territory.
