Port Blair, Dec 16: Krishi Vighyan Kendra, Nimbudera, ICAR-CIAR is observing Swachhta Pakhwada from 16th Dec. 2018 to 31st Dec. 2018. The sixteen days long programme was inaugurated in the presence of Smt. Sebastain Lakra, Pradhan, Basantipur Panchayat; Smt. Malati Bagchi, Ex-Pradhan; Dr. B. L. Kasinath, Senior Scientist and Head, KVK, and others KVK officials. On the occasion, the participants pledged to keep their surrounding clean. Speaking on the occasion, Dr. B. L. Kasinath informed the participants regarding the activities that will be performed by KVK during the period of Swatchhta Pakwada. After this a programme on plantation of trees were done and the programme was finished with the vote of thanks by Er. Manoj Kumar, as communicated in a press release by Senior Scientist and Head, KVK, N & M Andaman, ICAR-CIARI.
