Port Blair, Dec 14: On credible information received at PS Ograbraj regarding selling of illicit ganja by one Ranjit Das of Caddlegunj village, raiding team headed by Insp. Hari Narayan SHO and police personnel of PS Ograbraj conducted a raid at Caddlegunj, Ranchi Basti. One Ranjit Das (46) yrs R/o. Caddlegunj was found having 06 packets weighing approx. 151 grams of allegedly ganja. The accused was arrested under section20 (b) (ii) A of NDPS Act 1985. Further investigation of the case is in progress.
The public is requested to share information about illegal sailing of illicit liquor and narcotic drugs with Police in full confidence so that such anti-social elements are brought to justice and may pass such information to 03192-232100, 03192-224934. The identity of the informant will be kept secret, as said in a press release by Vijay Singh, IPS, Sr. Superintendent of Police, South Andaman District.
