Port Blair, Dec 07: The entrepreneurs, who have established their units in Industrial estate of Dollygunj and Bhatubasti area, are finding themselves working amidst huge garbage piles in different locations inside industrial estate area.
The Industrial Estates were developed in Bathubasti and Dollygunj areas to promote the local entrepreneurs and local industries. But the local entrepreneurs are getting disappointed because of total negligence of Port Blair Municipal Council, which has clearly failed in keeping this area in clean.
The entrepreneurs who have setup units inside industrial area of Dollygunj and Bathubasti often conduct cleanness drive themselves and dump garbage in specific locations so that those garbage piles could be picked up by PBMC but sadly while the entrepreneurs are shouldering their share of responsibilities, the PBMC has failed in its part.
In this regard Director of Industries has also written to the secretary of PBMC to provide vehicles and men to clean the garbage piles inside Industrial estate but even after these garbage piles were not cleaned, entrepreneurs complains.
Entrepreneurs say that such unhygienic condition is neither good for health nor good for promotion for industries. This incident shows how dedicated Port Blair Municipal Council is towards Swachh Bharat Mission, that too at a time when the Prime Minister of India is visiting Andaman, who had actually initiated the mission.
