Port Blair, Dec 07: All the transport as well as Non-Transport vehicle owners are hereby advised by the STA that no cargo or materials or persons should be transported in open bodies. All the goods carriage shall carry goods in closed body of the vehicle or container and if the goods are carried in open bodies then the goods shall be covered by using appropriate cover Govt. of India has accordingly notified appropriate rules in this regard and any violation of the rule provision will invite penal action for which enforcement will be carried out by the Traffic Police a press release by Secretary (STA) said here today.
