Port Blair, Dec 07: The Chairperson Port Blair Municipal Council Smt. Anusia Devi on today the 7th December 2018 inaugurated the CC Footpath with Platform at Burning Ghat in Brookshabad Ward No-22 in presence of Smt. Vaishali Rani Dayal, Ward Councillor. The Junior Vice Chairperson Mr. S Karunakaran, Mr. N K Udhya Kumar, Chairperson, WTP&I Sub Committee, Mr. Arubadi, Councillor Ward No-21 Smt. S Usha Councillor Ward No-16 and Mr. Suneel Anchipaka, IAS, Secretary PBMC along with Officers / Officials of the Council was also present on the Occasion. Smt. Vaishali Rani Dayal, Ward Councillor welcomed the gathering. The Civic Chief in her address stated that special care is taken for the development of newly constituted wards in the Municipal Limits. She further stated that all the Burning Ghats with in the Municipal Limit will be face lifted in a phased manner. The construction of CC footpath with platform in the Burning Ghat was a long pending demand of the local populace. The work was completed at an estimated cost of 7,50,000/-.
