Port Blair, Nov 19: The Principal Secretary (Health), Mr. K.R. Meena, IAS, along with the Secretary (Health)/MD (NHM/NAM), Smti. Kriti Garg, IAS, visited AYUSH Hospital, Junglighat on 16/11/2018 to take the stock of the existing facilities, and also to review the progress of ongoing development projects.
The Deputy Director and other senior officers of AYUSH briefed the Pr. Secy. about the various clinical facilities provided at the Hospital. The Pr. Secy. keenly looked over all the units (i.e. OPD, Wards, Panchakarma, Yoga, Physiotherapy and Lab etc.) and also interacted with the patients.
Pr. Secy. also visited the site of upcoming triple storied building for expansion of Hospital to accommodate Yoga Halls, Conference Room, Medicine Stores, Admin block etc. Mr. Subramaniam, the Supt. Engineer, APWD informed that the Estimate for the project has been sanctioned by the competent authority. Process for the tender for the work will be completed on priority, and the construction will commence soon.
