Port Blair, Nov 16: Veteran tribal Freedom Fighter religious leader and folk hero who belongs to Munda Tribe, Saheed Birsa Munda’s 143rd Birth Anniversary was befittingly celebrated at Community Hall Sundergarh on this occasion Mr. Gurucharan Munda, Shradha Jagran Pramukh, Vanvasi Kalyan Ashram North & Middle Andaman gave a brief lecture on the biography of Saheed Birsa Munda his speardheaded and Indian Tribal religious millenarian movement that arose in the Tribal belt of modern day Bihar and Jharkhand in the late 19th century during the British raj, there by making him and important figure in the history of the Indian Independence movement of Birsa Munda. After that villagers and children of the Baratang Island present traditional folk dances and songs on the occasion Mr. Algar Swamy Zilla parishad member, Sundergarh Constituency. Mr. G. Kurma Rao Ex-Zilla Parishad Member, and Mr. Policarp Tigga Social Worker and large member of gathering present on this occasion Mr. Biju Gurudasan, Pradhan, Gram Panchayat Sundergarh declared the Community Hall Sundergarh as Saheed Birsa Munda Community Hall Sundergarh.
